I am a triathlete wishing everyone else could find their joy in their chosen sport, whether they are leading the pack, or bringing up the rear, as long as they are having fun doing it. I refuse to acknowledge that I have an addiction and have surrounded myself with enablers of this addiction.
Running and I found each other late in life but I'm doing my best to make up for lost time! People get old because they stop running... they don't stop running because they are old.
After joining New Balance in 2009, my enthusiasm for running and our club grew year on year. It lead to me becoming the running captain of CMC in 2022, a responsibility that I both take seriously and enjoy thoroughly. My aim is to support and motivate all CMC runners so that they can achieve their goals and keep running forever!

I am the Admin Auntie for CMC. I started running to get my husband back into running and found I loved it. And then I had my rubber arm twisted to take part in an Ironman 70.3 (mostly for the holiday in Vietnam that came with it) and loved that too.
Now I get FOMO for everything swimbikerunsocial and try to have fun and sprinkle some joy where ever I go.
I have been in finance for many years, but I am fairly new to the Triathlon game - and I am loving every minute. I found a tribe with the same interests and the vibe, encouragement and support is out of this world. Working together towards reaching new and exciting heights and life experiences money can never buy 🥰
I am responsible for most of the SWIMBIKERUN fun you see on our social media pages! I am a triathlete by heart and absolutely love to see what everyone is up to on social media. Remember to tag CMC, so I can meet you online.
I have been a member of New balance and then Cape Multisport club for a long time. I love the camaraderie and collective focus on identifying new challenges and then doing what needs to be done to achieve these goals.
My personal journey went from Mountain biking to offroad triathlons to on road triathlons. And then I realized that I don’t only have to swim to T1 and that there is a world of swimming without bike-running afterwards. I developed a love for long distance openwater swimming and I am very proud of the large number of our CMC swimmers who have done epic openwater swims. You might still see me out swim-bike-running but my passion is with the swimming.
I joined CMC right at the beginning — originally as a runner — and over the years the club has become such a big part of my sporting journey and my life. What started with running soon grew into so much more: triathlons, Robben Island crossings, countless road races, Cape Town Cycle Tours, and training for a Double Century team (even though our race was unfortunately cancelled on the day).
One of the things that makes CMC special is that members are always encouraged to try something new, support one another, and grow together. Cycling has become a huge part of that culture, and it is a privilege for me to serve as Cycling Captain.
Our focus is to create opportunities for everyone — whether you are completely new to cycling or an experienced rider chasing bigger goals. We aim to make the sport welcoming, social, and enjoyable, while also helping riders build confidence and improve.
We host regular group rides with different options to suit varying abilities, including beginner-friendly rides as well as longer and more challenging routes for experienced cyclists. The beginner rides are especially important to us, as they give new riders a safe and supportive environment to learn group riding skills and become part of the cycling community.
I joined the club two years ago as a runner and quickly fell in love with triathlon. What started as stepping out of my comfort zone soon became early mornings, long training sessions, race weekends, and a community I’m proud to be part of.
What makes this club special to me is the camaraderie — training hard together, pushing each other toward big goals, and sharing both the highs and the suffering along the way. As Tri Captain, I’m excited to help build that same supportive, motivated, and fun environment for everyone in the squad.
My journey with CMC began back in 2008, when the club was still known as New Balance. What started as a simple decision based on something as practical as a well-designed, functional kit quickly grew into something far more meaningful.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching — and being part of — the club’s evolution through multiple kit changes, countless seasons, and now into our fourth shirt upgrade. But while the look of the club may have changed, the heart of CMC has remained the same.
Very early on, I realised that what truly sets this club apart isn’t just the running — it’s the people. When you show up consistently, you become part of something bigger: a community built on camaraderie, support, and a genuine sense of family. That’s what has kept me here all these years.
I wouldn’t describe myself as a speedster, but I have a deep love for running in all its forms. Give me a trail, a mountain, a bit of dust underfoot, and I’m in my element. For me, running has always been about the experience, the connection to nature, and the shared journey with others.
At the end of 2017, I stepped into the role of Trail Captain, a position I held for 18 months. That chapter allowed me to give back to the club in a meaningful way and deepen my involvement in the trail running community within CMC.
Since then, the club has navigated significant challenges — including the COVID era and various transitions — yet through it all, the core of who we are has remained unchanged.
It is truly an honour to now step into the role of Running Captain for the 2026/2027 term. This role allows me to contribute to all facets of running within the club — from trail and cross country to road running and pack runs.
My goal is to continue fostering the inclusive, supportive, and spirited environment that defines CMC, while encouraging participation across all levels. Whether you’re chasing a podium, building consistency, or simply showing up for the love of running, there is a place for you here.
